Our Story
Hi, I’m Natalia, the founder and baker behind Myrtille Bakery. My journey began long before Myrtille came to life in a kitchen, with flour on my hands and the joy of creating something from scratch. Baking has always been my language of love, a way to connect, share, and create beauty through food.
I studied Baking & Pastry at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, where I honed my craft and learned the foundations of the pastry arts. But it’s the hands-on moments, the scent of butter browning, the patience of rising dough, the quiet satisfaction of a perfectly crisp cookie, that have truly shaped my baking journey.
Myrtille Bakery was born in 2025 out of that passion, a desire to share rustic, seasonal, and joyfully nostalgic baked goods with the community. “Myrtille” is French for blueberry, a nod to both the classic French pastries that inspire my baking and my longtime love for blueberries, an ingredient that’s always had a special place in my kitchen seemed like the right name for the bakery.
Check out the Pop-up Schedule page to see where I will be next! I bring a rotating menu of thoughtfully made pastries: crullers, blueberry brioche buns, sourdough bread, and cookies that strike the perfect balance between soft and crisp. Every item is made by hand in small batches with real ingredients, no shortcuts, and lots of care.
To make sure you don’t miss out on your favorites, pre-orders are available through the website and can be picked up each Sunday at my booth at SoWa Open Market in Boston. It’s the best way to guarantee your go-to treats are waiting for you.
Myrtille is more than just a bakery. It’s a dream in motion, one pop-up at a time, with the goal of one day opening a brick-and-mortar bakery where the community can gather over good bread and better conversation.
Thank you for following along and for supporting this tiny but mighty dream.
With gratitude,
Natalia
